ANIGRAMS suitable for general readership
available 1 X weekly.
ANIGRAMS is a fun word puzzle in which the reader has to guess a mystery
phrase. Clues are given in each accompanying animal cartoon, and it is
necessary to re-arrange two or three supplied words to obtain the answer.
ANIGRAMS has been devised by Queensland-based cartoonist Al Benge. After
graduating with a Diploma of Graphic Design from Wellington Polytechnic (NZ)
he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English from Victoria
University. Al worked as a journalist and graphic artist in New Zealand,
before moving to Australia.
His work experience in Queensland includes working for Sunshine Coast Daily and regional weekly papers such as the Clifton Chronicle. He has had
children's puzzle features published in the Courier Mail and the Melbourne
Age. Al's puzzles also appear on a regular basis in Woman's Day magazine.
He is a consistent contributor to puzzle magazines in the United Kingdom.
Al's hobbies include an enthusiasm for entering and winning slogan contests,
soccer, skin-diving, reading, photography, painting, jogging and travel.
With his journalistic background, Al enjoys using words in different ways,
and this combined with his design and cartooning abilities has led to the
creation of ANIGRAMS puzzles.
In conjunction with Auspac Media, Al's original puzzles are now available
for publishing in your publication.
