Jumbled Numbers

Al Benge

JUMBLED NUMBERS for children and young adults Available 6X weekly. JUMBLED NUMBERS is a cartoon puzzle in which numbers are substituted for alphabet letters. For example A=1. B=2., C=3 etc. The object of the puzzle is to find the alphabetic equivalents for all the numbers shown. It will then be seen that some numbers/letters are not present. It is these letters that form a mystery word related to the cartoon topic. JUMBLED NUMBERS has been devised by Queensland-based cartoonist Al Benge. After graduating with a Diploma of Graphic Design from Wellington Polytechnic (NZ) he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English from Victoria University. Al worked as a journalist and graphic artist in New Zealand, before moving to Australia. His work experience in Queensland includes working for Sunshine Coast Daily and regional weekly papers such as the Clifton Chronicle. He has had children?s puzzle features published in the Courier Mail and the Melbourne Age. Al?s puzzles also appear on a regular basis in Woman?s Day magazine. He is a consistent contributor to puzzle magazines in the United Kingdom. Al?s hobbies include an enthusiasm for entering and winning slogan contests, soccer, skin-diving, reading, photography, painting, jogging and travel. With his journalistic background, Al enjoys using words and numbers in different ways, and this combined with his design and cartooning abilities has led to the creation of JUMBLED NUMBERS puzzles. In conjunction with Auspac Media, Al?s original puzzles are now available for publishing in your publication. For further information, please call free on 1800 652 284 (Australia only).
